Our Worship
At the Seneca church of Christ, we believe in one all-powerful, all-loving God, the Creator of the universe (Genesis 1:1). We hold the Bible as God's inspired word (2 Timothy 3:16–17), our complete guide for faith and life (2 Peter 1:3). We believe that Jesus is the Son of God (John 20:31), and that through His death, burial, and resurrection, He offers salvation to all (1 Thessalonians 5:9–10).
Because of sin, all people are separated from God (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1–2). But through faith in Jesus and obedience to the gospel, we can be forgiven and added to His church—His body (Romans 1:16; Acts 2:38, 41).
The church is God’s family and spiritual kingdom (Matthew 16:18–19; 1 Timothy 3:15), where we build one another up in love (Ephesians 4:15–16). It is not a denomination but the body of Christ, made up of those who follow Him.
We believe in living by His Word, growing together, and sharing His message of hope with the world.
Our worship is simple and based on the New Testament pattern. We sing together without instruments (Ephesians 5:19), pray, take the Lord’s Supper weekly (Acts 20:7), give cheerfully (1 Corinthians 16:2), and hear preaching from God’s Word.
We are led by a group of elders and served by deacons, following the biblical model. As a church, we strive to love, serve, and share the good news of Jesus. We’d love to worship with you and grow together in faith.
