Who We Are

At the Seneca church of Christ, we are a community centered on Jesus and the message of His cross. We strive to be a welcoming and loving congregation where everyone, whether you're exploring faith or have been walking with Christ for years, can grow, serve, and belong.

We believe that all people have sinned and are in need of God’s grace. No one can save themselves. By His mercy, God offers salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Through faith and obedience to the gospel, we respond to His love, not to earn salvation, but to receive the gift only He can give (Ephesians 2:8).

What We Believe

Our foundation is the gospel: that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1–4). Jesus calls all people to believe in Him, turn from sin, be baptized, and walk in new life. His promise of salvation is for everyone who responds in faith and obedience (Mark 16:15–16).

As Christians, we are committed to things that do not change—God's truth, God's Word, and God's church. Our identity and purpose remain rooted in His unchanging nature and promises.

The Church

Jesus promised to build His church, and He did (Matthew 16:18). The church is not a building or a denomination; it is the body of believers redeemed by His blood. When someone responds to the gospel, the Lord adds them to His church (Acts 2:47). We seek to follow the simple, biblical model of the church found in the New Testament, nothing more and nothing less.

God’s Word

The Bible is God's inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16). Through it, He reveals His will, His nature, and the life He calls us to live. We trust it completely because we trust the One who gave it. The Bible shapes our faith, our worship, our relationships, and our hope. Everything we do is guided by the Scriptures, not traditions or trends, but by the truth revealed by God.

Our Worship

In our worship, we aim to glorify God, not ourselves. Jesus said true worship must be “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24), and that’s what we seek. Following the New Testament example, our assemblies are simple, spiritual, and heartfelt. We sing together, pray, take the Lord’s Supper, give, and study God’s Word, just as the early church did.

Our desire is not to entertain, but to honor the One who made us, saved us, and walks with us daily.

You’re Invited
